Shivani is a holistic and dedicated physiotherapist with experience in both public and private healthcare settings. She completed her Bachelor of Biomedical Physiology at Simon Fraser University and went on to earn her Master of Physical Therapy from the University of British Columbia. Her interest in physiotherapy began during her time at UBC, where she worked as a research coordinator with acute stroke patients. Seeing the powerful impact of rehabilitation on mobility and quality of life inspired her to pursue a career focused on helping individuals regain independence and confidence. Shivani’s treatment approach is rooted in manual therapy, active rehabilitation, education, and sports therapy. She believes in a collaborative, patient centered model that empowers clients to take an active role in their recovery. With strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills, she creates personalized treatment plans tailored to each person’s goals and lifestyle.
She has managed care for a wide range of conditions, including total hip and knee replacements, neurological and cardiovascular conditions, scoliosis, amputations, and stroke recovery. Currently, she splits her time between private practice and working in acute care at BC Children’s Hospital.
Outside of work, Shivani enjoys hiking, going to the gym, and exploring new places around the city.
