Kiana is a registered clinical counsellor who sees her clients virtually. Her methods are human-centered and trauma-informed, and she utilizes multiple therapeutic approaches to best meet her clients’ needs. These include Emotion-Focused Therapy (EFT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and elements of Mindfulness and Attachment Theory. Kiana’s methods allow her to create unique and comprehensive behavioral and cognitive plans, tailored for her clients.
Kiana prioritizes relationship building throughout therapy, as she recognizes the importance of building the therapeutic relationship. She can help support clients in many different areas such as anxiety, depression, grief and loss, major life transitions, relationships, trauma, and stress.
Kiana’s work is deeply rooted in respect and empathy for each individual’s distinct journey and life experiences. She strives to create a safe space, where clients can feel empowered to explore their emotions and discover their resilience and inner strength.
She has managed care for a wide range of conditions, including total hip and knee replacements, neurological and cardiovascular conditions, scoliosis, amputations, and stroke recovery. Currently, she splits her time between private practice and working in acute care at BC Children’s Hospital.
